Chapter 1: The Need for a Break

Greetings everyone,

It's been a challenging month for me. I decided to step away from Medium for 22 days. While I didn’t contribute any articles during this time, I made sure to read others’ work, recognizing that I needed this pause. After seven months of consistent writing on Medium, I had amassed over 300 followers, which felt gratifying.

However, like anyone else, I sometimes experience greed and moments of demotivation. During this period, I came across a video that resonated with me. It discussed how excessive positivity can be harmful. The message was clear: if you feel demotivated, it's important to acknowledge those feelings rather than forcing yourself to think positively. Accept your emotions, work through them, and then you can foster genuine positivity. This insight felt like a sign from the universe, encouraging me to take this much-needed break.

Chapter 2: Discovering the Value of My Work

During my hiatus, I came to appreciate that my articles are truly valuable to me. Back in January, I participated in a 30-day writing challenge that emphasized producing a high volume of content. This approach yielded results, as I noticed an increase in both views and reads. It dawned on me that while quantity is significant, quality also plays a crucial role.

Over the subsequent months, I have concentrated on enhancing the quality of my work. This month, I only managed to write two articles, yet surprisingly, my statistics from January closely mirrored those from April, with only minor fluctuations. Remarkably, I gained 56 new followers during my 22-day break—more than I had during that intensive January challenge.

This month has taught me that both quality and quantity hold equal importance in writing. I hope that anyone reading this can learn from my experience.

Chapter 3: Embracing the Journey

Both quantity and quality matter. Strive to produce more, hone your skills, and gain valuable experiences. As you progress, the quality of your writing will naturally enhance.

If you ever find yourself considering abandoning your passion, take a step back. Reflect, engage in activities you enjoy, and allow yourself time to heal before returning to what you love. Remember, never give up on your dreams. I’m determined to continue pursuing my passion, and I encourage you to do the same.
