Creative writers deserve acknowledgment and encouragement to express and share their ideas. In response to challenges posed by un-captioned images causing delays in publication, ILLUMINATION editors have implemented a policy to mitigate these issues. Some authors are still utilizing copyrighted images, which heightens the risk of significant penalties.

Under the new guidelines, any stories submitted with un-captioned or copyrighted images will be rejected. More details can be found in the accompanying bulletin.

Failure to Caption and Use of Copyrighted Photos May Result in Rejection of Submissions

If writers continue to disregard these photo handling rules after rejection, we will have to exclude them from our publications.

I have recently added new writers to our publications while other editors are managing a growing backlog of submissions. We apologize for the delays in publishing. Our submissions exceed the capacity of our 30 editors. Nevertheless, our volunteer editors are diligently working to publish as many drafts as possible each day.

We appreciate your understanding and patience; your stories will be published in due course. You may also consider self-publishing, as we accept those submissions. However, draft submissions may attract more readers, so the choice is yours.

Both draft and self-published stories are accepted in our publications; however, we prioritize drafts since they have been waiting longer for readers.
